Acolchados...el tercero en discordia.

Las prendas acolchadas, junto a las sneakers y las sudaderas, es otra de las tendencias a la que diseñadores y cadenas comerciales han decido despojar de su lado más casual, recuperándolas este otoño 2012 como pieza fundamental de estilismos inimaginables.
Quilted garments, along with sneakers and sweatshirts, is another trend to which designers and commercial chains have decided to divest of its most casual side, recovering them this fall 2012 as a fundamental piece of  unimaginable outfits.

Y es que la tendencia no se ha limitado, como en temporadas anteriores, a los complementos, bolsos basicamente, va mucho más allá. Desde sudaderas, faldas o shorts hasta calzado, pasando irremdiablemente por las gorras e incluso las fundas para móvil.

And the trend is not limited to accessories, handbags basically... goes much further. From sweatshirts, skirts or shorts to footwear, caps and even mobile covers.

Los acolchados han dejado de ser territorio propio de Chanel y su emblemático 2.55 para hacer las delicias de todos. Pero ¡ojo!...no se trata de un tejido fácil de llevar en lo que a prendas se refiere.

Quilts are not the exclusive territory of Chanel and its iconic 2.55. But beware ... it is not an easy tissue to wear.

Como podrás imaginar no solo aporta volumen sino que además, por su rigidez y escasa adaptabilidad no sienta bien a todas las siluetas. Estos pequeños detalles no implican que tengas que renunciar a la tendencia. Ten en cuenta mis recomendaciones y seguro que consigues integrarla en tus estilismos de forma airosa. 

As you can imagine not only adds volume but also, by its rigidity and poor adaptability, does not sit well with all silhouettes. These "small details" do not mean you have to give up the trend. Consider my recommendations and integrate it into your outfits will be simple.

Silueta Reloj de Arena...¡barra libre!. Todo te sienta bien.

Silueta Triangulo. Procura no aportar más volumen a la parte inferior de tu figura. Opta por prendas superiores o complementos.

Triangle silhouette. Try not to add more volume to the bottom of your figure. Opt for upper garments and accessories.

Silueta Triangulo invertido. Al contrario que la anterior...elige shorts, faldas y complementos.

Inverted triangle silhouette. Contrary to the previous ... choose shorts, skirts and accessories.

Silueta Rectangular y Ovalada. Por mucho que te guste mejor limítate a los complementos...zapatos, bolsos, una gorra. De otra forma te veras demasiado "voluminosa".

Rectangular and Oval silhouette . However much you like best only accessories ... shoes, bags, caps. Otherwise you will look too "bulky".

Sweatshirts

Si pensabas que las sudaderas estaban reservadas para hacer deporte...¡cambia al chip! Este otoño les vamos a sacar mucho partido, han dejado de ser las estrellas del gym para brillar en otros escenarios.

If you thought sweatshirts were reserved for sports ... change your chip! This fall we're going to wear a lot, are no longer the stars of the gym to shine in other settings.

Ya las estamos viendo en arriesgados y novedosos street styles. Combinadas con faldas lápiz, de plumas o lentejuelas, pantalones pitillo hiperfemeninos y en general prendas inferiores nada casual y más bien "puestas".

We already are seeing in risky and innovative street styles. Combined with pencil skirts, feathers or sequins,  very feminine skinny jeans  and in general with  not casual clothes but pretty "formal."

Lisas, con motivos diversos o mensajes...cualquier modelo es bueno para dar un aire absolutamente renovado a estas sudaderas que muchas, no lucíamos desde la universidad.

Plain, with different motives or messages ... any model is good to give a completely renovated air to these sweatshirts that many of us don´t wear since college.

4 Consejos para...disimular mucho pecho

4 Tips to... hide much chest

Como siempre comento en los talleres que imparto sobre Imagen Personal o a todas aquellas que me hacéis alguna consulta on-line, la figura no la podemos cambiar, estaremos más delgadas o más llenitas pero tenemos la misma figura para toda la vida. Lo que si podemos hacer utilizar las prendas de vestir para resaltar las partes de nuestro cuerpo que más nos gustan y desviar la atención de aquellos otras que no nos hacen tan felices.

As always comment on the workshops I teach on Personal Image or all those that ask me questions on-line we can not change our figure, we will be thinner or plump but we have the same figure for life. What we can do using clothing to highlight the parts of our body we like and divert the attention of those others that do not make us so happy.

Os dejo unos consejos para aquellas que tenéis demasiado pecho y queréis disimularlo...

I leave a few tips for those who want to hide too much chest ...

1º y fundamental, elegir el sujetador adecuado. Ni muy pequeño para "comprimirlo" ni demasiado grande, que no sujete y el pecho caiga. 

1º and crucial, choose the right bra. Neither too small to "compress" not too big, not hold and falling chest.

2º Elige siempre escotes en V o U y olvida los redondos o el cuello vuelto.

2º Always choose V or U necks and forget rounds or turtleneck.

3º Camisas con corte masculino sin bolsillos...su escote en pico y su corte estructurado suavizan las formas del pecho.

3º   Boyish Shirts without pockets.... its v-neck  and structured cut smoothed breast forms.

4º Prendas entalladas, ni anchas ni sueltas...y mucho menos licras o similares.

4º Fitted clothes, nor wide or loose ... forget lycras or similar.

La Edad Media está de vuelta

The Middle Ages is back

Stella McCartney, Rabanne o YSL son algunos de los diseñadores que han decidido convertir la Edad Media en Leit Motiv de sus colecciones. Cotas de malla, armaduras, corazas y, en general, todo lo que tiene que ver con la más pura estética de caballeros y guerreros medievales van a adornar y cubrir la silueta femenina en contraste con otros tejidos mucho más delicados.... 

Stella McCartney, YSL Rabanne or are some of the designers who have decided to make the Middle Ages leitmotif of their collections. Chain mail, armor and in general, everything that has to do with the pure aesthetics of medieval knights and warriors, will decorate and cover our female form in contrast to other tissues much more delicate ....

Quizá fueron el preludio de la tendencia militar, tan de moda este otoño, pero las parkas ya se han ganado su sitio en de nuestro armario. Las empezamos a llevar hace 2 o 3 temporadas, tanto en invierno como en verano y hoy son la prenda de abrigo por excelencia.
Maybe it was the prelude to the military trend, so popular this fall, but parkas have already made its place in our wardrobe. We start to wear them 2 or 3 seasons ago, both winter and summer and today are the quintessential warm clothes.

Algo así como lo fue el  trench de hace algún tiempo solo que con un aire mucho más casual.

Something like trench  times ago but...much more casual.

Da igual de que estilismo se trate, la parka va bien con todo. Yo, que me he vuelto fan de la mezcla de estilos, pienso llevarla incluso con vestidos vaporosos y elegantes. 

Never mind the outfit, the parka goes with everything. I've become a fan of mixing styles so I even wear with sheer and elegant dresses.

4 CONSEJOS PARA...DISIMULAR CADERAS

4 TIPS TO... HIDE HIPS.

Hace unos días recibí un via e-mail la consulta de Irene, una chica de Málaga que me preguntaba que podía hacer para disimular sus caderas. Por lo foto que me envía, deduzco que Irene responde a la típica silueta triangulo o pera, es decir, muy femenina pero con generosas caderas, a veces algo excesivas.

Few days ago Irene, a girl from Malaga asked me a question via e-mail. She wanted to know how to hide her hips. They sent me a photo and I conclude Irene response to the typical triangle or pear shape, pretty  feminine but with generous hips, sometimes a little excessive.

Ahí van mis consejos...
These are my tips ...

1º Renuncia a los pantalones pitillo... y a los acampanados. Por mucho que se lleven y que te gusten, no te sientan nada bien. Tu mejor opción es el pantalón recto.

1º Forget the skinny jeans ... and the bell ones. They do not feel right at all. Your best bet is the straight pants.

2º Te sientan bien las faldas acampandas, las cortadas al bies y las evasé. Las rectas o lápiz también, siempre y cuando no las lleves demasiado ceñidas.
2º Bells skirts, bias binding cuts and evasé feel  you good . The straight or pencil ones too, if you do not wear them too tight.

3º Elige prendas superiores estructuradas. Evita las mangas con las costuras pasado el hombro y no  metas las blusas/camisetas por dentro del pantalón/falda.

3 º Pick structured tops. Avoid sleeves with seams past the shoulder. Don´t wear blouses/shirts into pants/skirt.

4º Los colores oscuros estilizan, así que mejor resérvalos para las prendas inferiores. Si optas por prendas de color, mejor lisas que estampadas y si eliges estampados, cuanto más pequeños mejor.

4º  Dark colors stylized, so you better reserve them for lower garments. If you opt for colored clothes, better plain ones and if you choose printed patterns, better the smaller.

BURDEOS, GRANATE, VINO...

BORDEAUX, MAROON, WINE...

A esta alturas ya no hay duda, el burdeos es el rey. Basta darse una vuelta por el low cost para comprobar que este elegante y sobrio color se va a adueñar poco a poco de nuestros armarios como en pasadas temporadas lo hicieron el camel o el gris. 

There is no doubt, the burgundy is the king. Just have a look around the low cost to verify that this elegant and sober color will gradually  be our closets owner. As the camel or gray in past seasons

Los estilismos son infinitos...desde el total look a la combinación con el mostaza o nude, pasando, evidentemente, por el gris perla, el negro o el beige. Todo depende de lo que queramos arriesgar.

Endless outfits are possible... from the total look to the combination with mustard,  nude, pearl gray, black or beige. It all depends on what you want to risk.

El mix con rosa palo sienta genial a las que tenemos un tono de piel claro, rosado....

With pale pink  feels great to a clear skin tone...

Si eres morena, la combinación con mostaza es perfecta.

If you're brown, mustard is the perfect combination.

Aunque a mi como más me gusta es llevarlo con unos vaqueros.

But I love to wear with jeans.

3 PROPUESTAS PARA UN VESTIDO

La semana pasada mi amiga Sandra se compró este vestido de Mango. Tiene varios eventos próximamente y quiere sacar buen partido de la prenda. Enseguida me mando la foto para que le diera algunas ideas... Estas son mis propuestas.

Last week my friend Sandra bought this dress from Mango. She has several events soon  and she wants to make good use of the garment. Then she sent me a photo asking me for some ideas ... These are my proposals.

Algo así para la cena de trabajo.

Something like that for a working dinner.

Creo que esta puede ser una buena opción para una cena de cumpleaños
I think this may be a good choice for a birthday dinner.

Y ¡por supuesto!...algo más casual pero chic para diario.
And of course! ... Something more casual but chic for every day.
